Is Your Siding Melting? Here’s What’s Causing It — And How Shore Tint and More Inc. Can Help

ree

Have you noticed strange warping or bubbling on your home’s siding? Or maybe your neighbor’s windows are turning your vinyl into a melty, distorted mess? Believe it or not, this is a real issue for many homeowners — and it’s becoming more common thanks to energy-efficient windows that reflect intense heat.

At Shore Tint and More Inc., we’ve seen it all — and we’ve worked closely with our window film distributors to find the perfect solution.

Why Is My Siding Melting?

The culprit is often Low-E (low emissivity) windows. These energy-efficient windows are designed to reflect sunlight and heat away from a home to keep interiors cool. But when that reflected light hits the siding of a nearby house — or even your own — it can create a beam of focused heat. That heat can reach temperatures high enough to melt or warp vinyl siding.

Wild, right?

This problem is more than just annoying — it can seriously affect the curb appeal and structural integrity of your home.

The Shore Tint Solution

We’ve done the homework so you don’t have to. Our team at Shore Tint and More Inc. has partnered with some of the best film manufacturers in the industry to source specialized window films that help reduce the intensity of that reflected heat. These films are engineered to:

  • Minimize glare and solar reflection

  • Protect your siding from heat damage

  • Maintain energy efficiency in your windows

  • Improve the comfort and protection inside your home, too!

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all fix. We offer free consultations to assess your home and recommend the best product for your specific situation.

What to Know Before You Book

We’d love to say we can come out rain or shine—but unfortunately, Mother Nature runs the show when it comes to window film installation.

Weather matters. For the film to adhere properly and perform as intended, the installation must be done on a dry, calm day with no rain or strong wind. If we schedule your install and the weather doesn’t cooperate, we may need to reschedule. Trust us—we know it’s frustrating. It’s frustrating for us too. We do our absolute best to communicate clearly and make the process as smooth as possible for every homeowner.

Ready to Fix That Siding Melt?

Don’t wait until the damage gets worse. The sooner we address the issue, the better the long-term protection for your siding and your home’s value.
